Professor Laure Bindels is team leader and co-head of the laboratory in the Metabolism and Nutrition Research group (MNUT) at the Louvain Drug Research Institute, UCLouvain, Brussels, Belgium. The MNUT research group focusses on the development of new therapeutic nutritional and pharmacological tools based on the gut microbiota-host crosstalk in several pathological contexts. Prof. Laure Bindels has an internationally recognized expertise in the field of gut microbiota, metabolism and cancer cachexia, with more than 100 publications. She is also a WELRI Investigator, a Collen-Francqui Research Professor, an ESPEN Faculty member, and a member of the Educational Committee of the Cancer Cachexia Society.
