Doctor Clémence Béchade is a nephrologist at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Caen, in charge of peritoneal dialysis with Professor Thierry Lobbedez. She completed a clinical fellowship in adult nephrology with a focus on home dialysis at the Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc, Brussels (UCL), under the supervision of Professors Michel Jadoul and Eric Goffin. She trained in epidemiology at the Ecole de Santé Publique de Nancy and defended her PhD thesis in 2017 on the transitions in the care of the patients with CKD. She is an active member of the French Peritoneal Dialysis Registry (RDPLF) and REIN registry. She is a senior lecturer at the University of Caen since 2021. Her areas of interest are self-care dialysis and epidemiology ; she has published several papers on these topics in international journals.
