Dr. Guillaume Fernandes is a nephrologist at the Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc (Brussels) where he was trained. He works at the in-center haemodialysis unit with Pr. Laura Labriola and Dr. Jean-Michel Pochet and provides general nephrology consultations.

He graduated from UCLouvain in 2018 and his main areas of interest are haemodialysis, in particular uraemic toxins and mineral and bone disorders.

Under the supervision of Professors Pieter Evenepoel and Laura Labriola, he started a PhD thesis on the role of uraemic toxins in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular and bone complications associated with chronic kidney disease.
