Alferso C. Abrahams is working as staff internist-nephrologist at the University Medical Center Utrecht and is acting head of the dialysis department. His principle research interests are in peritoneal dialysis (PD) and patient reported outcome measures (PROMS). He is principle investigator of the Dutch Nocturnal and Home Dialysis Study To Improve Clinical Outcomes (DOMESTICO) and the Percutaneous Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter Insertion (PREDICT) study and involved in several other studies. Furthermore, he is member of the Dutch Taskforce Home Dialysis.
